I truly believe it's just as important to fail and understand, as it is to succeed and celebrate. It took a long time, a whole lot'a courage, vulnerability, and grace that has since encouraged positive results.

Working with people, rather than for people, has made all the difference. We all have opportunities, but do we understand them? Once we do, can we show compassion and kindness; towards ourselves and others? It's okay to fail. It's okay to fall short. It's okay to make mistakes. There's always more than one way to look at anything, we just have to be willing to have an equally honest & compassionate conversation along the way.
Remember Who U are is about people helping people, to help themselves and others; bringing people back to their passion and achieving within all possibilities. Let’s find out what you got, find out what you need, and utilize the tools and resources within our community to help you achieve your goal. We’re always willing to have a conversation if it means helping Remember Who U are.

“Helping one person might not change the world, but it could change the world for one person.” -Anonymous
I have lived much of my life with this quote in mind. I never thought I could change the world, not for real. I did know the blessings, skills, and resources I possessed and had been afforded could make a significant difference for individuals and for myself.
Most people hear “Criminal Defense Attorney” and they immediately have a certain picture in their mind. Admittedly, not a great one. I have always enjoyed the reaction people have when they hear I have pursued such a career. How they could not believe I was really a criminal defense attorney. While I was certainly proud of my career and what I had accomplished, I was more than content to live my life helping one person here and there and then minding my own business. Then my first child was born. My world would never be the same. I knew what I had been doing was objectively more than okay, but was it enough?
With all the division, hate and vitriol in the world today, I have been scared for the world my children will inherit. I have needed something to do, something at a very minimum, to try. Remember who you are is that something for me. Call me an optimist, a dreamer, a bleeding heart… but maybe if we help people address the root cause of so many of the issues in this world, we can make a difference. Maybe we can help people see that we are so much more alike, than we are different. Maybe, just maybe, we can turn this all around. Maybe by starting locally, person to person, people to people, and then, growing from there, we can inch closer to “a more perfect nation”, a more perfect world? Maybe, if we can just remember who we are.

It's about what we've got in life, the experiences, our character, and what we've let define us. For me, it wasn't a catastrophic event or a shift in mentality that led me to where I am today.

It's about what we've got in life, the experiences, our character, and what we've let define us. For me, it wasn't a catastrophic event or a shift in mentality that led me to where I am today; it was just merely a glitch in my DNA. Growing up, I didn't think I was different. I just knew that I did things uniquely.

In my career, I was told I couldn't do things because of my enhancement called Phocomelia, and at times I was held to a lower standard because my leadership felt bad for me. I had to find leaders who would look beyond my enhancement, challenge me, and grow me to be a better employee and individual. There were leaders in my life who saw potential in me before I could recognize it myself and taught me how to foster it. I understand that we complain or get frustrated about our shortcomings; that's where we have to know what we've got and achieve more with it.

Because of my enhancement and the leaders who pushed me to become who I am today, I can see the invisible in order to accomplish the impossible. The only thing that stands in your way of success is you and having a boundless mindset is essential. It all starts with a conversation about what you've got and always Remembering Who U are.
